Five thousand years of history between the pyramids of Giza, the treasures of Cairo's museum and a legendary Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. In October the heat subsides: the temples can be visited in perfect conditions.

Itinerary

1. Day 1 — Flight Abidjan → Cairo (via Addis or Casablanca). Overnight in Cairo.
2. Day 2 — Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, Memphis and Saqqara.
3. Day 3 — Grand Egyptian Museum, Khan el-Khalili souk, Coptic Old Cairo.
4. Day 4 — Flight to Luxor, embarkation. Karnak and Luxor temples.
5. Day 5 — Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon. Sailing.
6. Day 6 — Temple of Edfu (by horse-drawn carriage) and Kom Ombo temple at dusk.
7. Day 7 — Aswan: High Dam, Philae Temple, felucca around Elephantine Island.
8. Day 8 — Optional Abu Simbel at dawn. Nubian village. Return flight to Cairo.
9. Day 9 — Flight Cairo → Abidjan.
