A festive season with a difference: the West African culture of Dakar and Saly, then the Creole soul and endless beaches of Sal or Boa Vista. Two dry seasons and a short flight in between: an accessible, refreshingly different escape.

Itinerary

1. Day 1 — Direct flight Abidjan → Dakar. The Corniche and welcome dinner.
2. Day 2 — Gorée Island in the morning, Museum of Black Civilisations in the afternoon.
3. Day 3 — Pink Lake: pirogue, salt, quad biking. Drive to Saly.
4. Day 4 — Bandia Reserve, beach afternoon in Saly.
5. Day 5 — Day of relaxation and festivities in Saly (depending on New Year's Eve dates).
6. Day 6 — Flight Dakar → Sal (Cape Verde). Check-in in Santa Maria.
7. Day 7 — Island tour: Buracona, Pedra de Lume, Shark Bay.
8. Day 8 — Beach, kitesurfing or catamaran. Evening of Cape Verdean music.
9. Day 9 — Free day: lazing about, diving or an excursion to Boa Vista.
10. Day 10 — Flight Sal → Dakar → Abidjan.
